Hi everyone and Welcome to my lovely new site!
Its been a very long time coming, but I have finally gotten around to publishing my new site, Designbyalex.co.uk.
I designed the site myself from the ground up, I decided I wanted a friendly palette of colours, nothing to gloomy but I have really gotten into the use of textures in my work.
The texture I used as the background was formed after reading an awesome tutorial by Chris Spooner, if you dont know or havent heard of Chris’ work then it is well worth a look, he is a fantastic designer, his work is really Modern but I feel it always hits the spot in terms of its communicative value!
Here is his tutorial on Textures for those of you who are Photoshop Nuts (like me!) And who like me are fascinated with all of the millions of possibilities that the software holds!
I am also a complete Nut when it comes to WordPress! I build every site on the WordPress platform, it is Safe, Solid, Flexible and I think will out live any other Personal Semantic Publishing software out there, and of course… its free!! Get stuck in its tons of fun!! There are so many resources out there for those of you who want to get started, Chirs Coyier is a total expert check him out at either; Digwp or at CSS tricks.
