About

About this chap named Alex

Alex

Well, its usually quite boring reading about people, what they like and dont like to eat on a Saturday afternoon and so on and so forth, so I will keep it short and sweet….no need to bore you is there? I am a Freelance graphic designer, with a real love for communication, that being I love to get the message across in a clear, precise and responsive way, whether it is a drawing or a web application if it doesn’t communicate the message correctly then its not doing the job.

I love the Web, and digital design, I can code fluently in HTML, mainly xhtml 1.0 strict (still developing HTML 5), and I am fluent in CSS. My new joy in life has been wordpress, it is so so flexible and has a brilliant Backend, thats why I develop all of my sites on WordPress to give you the client the flexibility to update the site without paying costly maintenance fees, no-one needs that right?!

I also love to draw and paint (watercolor), so I like to use my hands as well. See my blog for current bits n bobs I am doing. I think it is a fundamental requirement of a designer to be able to Draw, sketch etc so that you can communicate ideas across correctly, its also Fun!

Blog

The blog is a way for me to write about interesting articles, books that I have read, also I love going to exhibitions, so there are a few bits from recent shows, and I like to post my sketches, life drawings and anything else I can fit on!

Portfolio

Quite self explanatory really, my portfolio page displays my recent published work such as websites or print etc
